I am Bianca, founder of BlueTales!

BlueTales is a passion project of a marine biologist dedicated to sharing the wonders of marine life and the importance of ocean conservation. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and raise awareness about the beauty and fragility of our oceans through engaging blog posts, captivating images, and educational resources. Through visual storytelling that combines marine science with art, BlueTales aims to make ocean explorations an inclusive and accessible activity for everyone.

All About Me

The inspiration for this blog stems from deep passion for the underwater world and my desire to protect it while giving back to my community. Through storytelling, I am eager to share my own experiences and those of others to inspire more people to explore the wonders of this mysterious realm and learn how to safeguard it.

Although I was born near the sea, my profound connection to the marine environment developed later in life. As humans, we all seek a sense of belonging and my extensive travels made me realise that the sea is where I always return. It has been a source of both fear and joy, but most importantly, wherever I am in the world, being near the ocean feels like home. Having explored this captivating world since childhood, in 2018 I decided to turn my passion into a career by studying marine biology. I graduated as a marine biologist in 2023 and became an SSI diver in 2022. In 2024, I took my diving career further by becoming an SSI divemaster and snorkelling instructor. Throughout my studies and career, I have worked and volunteered in various marine science roles, where I studied, analysed, and wrote about the marine environment.

After more than 8 years of traveling and living abroad, inspired by the ocean's beauty, I felt it was time to create BlueTales.

My Experience

Over the years, I have explored the marine environments of the Black Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea, meeting many inspiring marine enthusiasts along the way. I am eager to further enhance my qualifications and enrich my collection of underwater adventures.
